Peng Ling Studio
Ms. Peng Ling returned from abroad and engaged to students work fulltime at Tsinghua University in 1999. She was the head of the student working group in the School of Software, the head of the graduate student working group, and the deputy secretary of the Party Committee in charge of student work. Over the past 13 years, she has provided career counselling to more than 1,800 second-degree graduates , nearly 500 undergraduates, and nearly 1,000 graduate students from the School of Software. In 2013, she was employed by Career Development Center as a full-time counsellor.
Ms. Peng Ling loves students and student affairs. She is the teacher of students, but also the friend and mother of students. Students affectionately call her " PPMM" (Ms. Peng Ling explained herself as "womanishly fussy "“婆婆妈妈”), "PLMM" (pretty mother, mother Peng Ling). Students describe Ms. Peng Ling like this: "You love beauty, you love singing, you love flowers, you love sports, you love your students, you enjoy life, you are our most beloved PPMM, our most favored Mama Peng."
Ms. Peng Ling has won the first prize of "Excellent Class (Grade) Director Work Award of Tsinghua University" for four times; five times of university-level awards of Tsinghua University (including "University-level Advanced Worker", "Award for Loyalty and Dedication to Work ", "Lin Feng Counselor Award"); three times won Beijing-level awards (including the title of "Excellent Counselor of Beijing Universities" and "Advanced Individual of Beijing Teachers' Morality"). In 2011, she was awarded the title of "National College Counselor of the Year" (the top ten counselors in China, the first one in Tsinghua); in 2012, she was awarded as a judge of the National College Counselor of the Year; in 2015, she was awarded the title of Outstanding Instructor of Student Associations in Tsinghua University; and in 2021, she was awarded the "True Dedication Award" of Tsinghua University for caring about the next generation and the advanced individual of the "Active Ageing"“老有所为” of Tsinghua University. In 2022, she was appointed as a consultant of "Tutor-Student Hotline" by the Department of Teachers of the Party Committee of Tsinghua University, the Department of Postgraduate Work of Tsinghua University, the Department of Retirement Work of Tsinghua University, the Graduate School of Tsinghua University, the Teacher Development Center of Tsinghua University, and the Committee of Caring for the Next Generation of Tsinghua University.
