Dr. Shen Ruomeng of the Career Development Center and five students were invited by Showa Denko K.K. to Tokyo for its international exchange program from July 9th to 16th. They went together with teachers and students from the Shanghai Jiaotong University, Zhejiang University and Dalian University of Technology. The five Tsinghua students major in mechanical engineering, material science and engineering, chemical engineering and etc.
Showa Denko K.K. arranged various activities during this program. The students got to know the company’s strategy layout, business scope, production process, technical research and development and talent management by visiting factories, institutes and the Tokyo University. At the same time they experienced the Japanese culture.
The one-week visit was a complete success, and Manager of the Human Resource Department Mr Imai spoke highly of this program. He hoped that more students could work in Japan and welcomed them to join Showa Denko K.K. The students of this exchange program got to understand the company’s management and culture, had an experience of living and working in Japan, and at the same time had friendly communications with teachers and students from Tsinghua’s sister universities.
