To further implement the opinions of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, promote college graduates’ employment and entrepreneurship through various channels and strive to achieve more sufficient employment of higher quality under the guidance of Xi Jinping’s socialist thinking with Chinese characteristics in the new era, Tsinghua University strove to improve the political position of college graduates’ employment and entrepreneurship work in the new era, made comprehensive efforts to promote employment and entrepreneurship, and encouraged and supported graduates to make a difference in places where they are most needed by the motherland. In 2017, the University achieved overall full employment, with an employment rate of 98.4%. Nearly 60% of signing graduates have found jobs in key employers. The graduates highly agree to the career development concept that our country is a vast world where we have great possibilities. The regional distribution of employment becomes more uniform and reasonable. Through the employment work of “specialization, refinement, informatization and internalization.” Tsinghua University supported and guided students to combine their personal career development closely with the state and social needs, to “establish a great ambition, get integrated into the mainstream, walk onto the big stage and make a great difference”, and make contributions to our motherland in places where they are needed most. Even if in severe employment situations, the University has still maintained a high graduate employment rate and realized a steady rise in employment quality.
We hereby issue the Employment Quality Report of Tsinghua University Graduates in 2017, with the data of Tsinghua University graduates in 2017 as of October 31, 2017 as the criteria. (Currently only the Chinese version is available.)
